Finally, done with Sprint 1 of ALX_SE. Power of Atomic Wins. Part 1.
Hey, Kimba’s, much fun for this Sprint hoping never to see you again!
Well, this is how I got to learn the hard way. And in doing the hard things which all came in handy with the tutorials from the GOAT himself, Dr. Ehoneah Obed.
Let me take a break and reflect on all I learned, first of all, the G of programming, C language. It was filled with exciting doable challenges including data structures, variadic functions, printf, and simple shell projects.
This was a fun experience altogether having to interact with various peers during the stuck on a project sessions. The mentor Andrew Ngumbao helped with the crisis of breaking the content down into small well-meted out chunks. Helped when the checks were failing or when we misplaced a concept in our brains and he had to show us the path in the darkness.
Month 2 was filled with anxiety as I had to work on a project with a weight of 10, unusual to the common weight of 1 and 5. The anxiety of having to disappoint my dreams of not progressing to the next month as a result of misplaced priorities.
Anxious when I had to scroll through YouTube videos explaining the simple shell project and how each video had different approaches to the project. Anxious about being placed with not welcoming partners(my partners were great!) And anxious about not meeting the deadlines before they got dead as the proverbial tortoise who ran past the rabbit.
Hope was calling at the plight of the early bird. The hope of a better tomorrow and armed with my God I knew that whatever happened it was for the better of tomorrow and tomorrow is brighter than today.
This feeling is the same as the birthing of an idea, the Eureka moment. The feeling when all the mountains are conquered and what remains are other mountains to conquer. The power of atomic wins in the pursuit of happiness.
I am rejuvenated for tomorrow, Let me find you on the other side too.
